About Us

Who is “Paws On” Pet Sitting?

Paws On Pet Sitting is an agency that puts pets and their needs first! We give peace of mind to pet owners who need a pet sitting service and feel assured, that their pets are in the best care possible. We strive for pet and owner to be happy.

My name is Michelle, and I am the owner of Paws On Pet Sitting. I have been pet sitting since 2015, and identified the need for pet owners requiring a reliable and loving pet sitting service. The idea for my agency originated from my love for animals, and my life long ownership and love of working with pets.

I grew up in Zambia and spent much of my time on my grandpa’s farm. I was therefore always surrounded by dogs, cats, pigs, cattle, sheep, birds, horses and plenty more.

We moved to South Africa in 1990 and have always had a variety of pets and foster animals.

My family and I are all very much involved in animal rescue and rehabilitation. I volunteer for an animal rescue organization (R.A.D) through fund raising, creating awareness and fostering. I have always had a deep caring connection with animals.

I worked recently for a pet sitting agency for eight years and have experienced working with different species, breeds and sizes. I decided based on my experience to offer my own personalized and reliable pet sitting service.

I am striving towards Paws On Pet Sitting being your second family.

Causes We Support

R.A.D – Rescue Animal Drive

Independently Driving Animal Welfare

R.A.D focuses mainly on outreach work in poorer communities and facilitating sterilisation of domestic animals in Botriver and Grabouw in the Theewaterskloof Municipality, Western Cape.
To date, R.A.D has sterilised over 5 000 domestic animals via monthly spay days and sterilisations at our vet. We also assist the community with subsidised veterinary care, which includes operations such as leg amputations, broken legs, eye operations, and blood transfusions in the case of Biliary and general health care.

Our aim is to maintain a constant presence in Botriver and Grabouw, following up on patients, making lists for sterilisations, assisting with information on animal care and keeping an eye on the pets in our communities.

Where there’s love, there are always miracles.
